I must say! This book got really good! I struggle with the first bit trying to get into it!
But “BAM” it hit me with a deep dive fantasy! And I couldn’t stop reading! My emotions were hooked.
Very good! Can’t wait to start the second.

I’m not one for fantasy books but was told this is a good first time read for someone getting into it.
I love that it’s not too slow nor is it too much action. Just the right amount of romance, intensity, and action.

But this was the best thing I’ve ever read. It had my attention from the jump that I couldn’t put it down. I ended up finishing it in exactly a week. If you’ve been debating stop about starting, do yourself a favour and read this book !

The story started well - young woman succeeds against overwhelming odds in an intriguing fantasy world. Half way through, however, the story turned into a Harlequin Romance. The dialogue between the protagonists became predictable and annoying. The seduction descriptions were overly long and bordered on salacious. I lost the plot and lost interest.

I cannot even begin to give this book the accolades it deserves. From the first page to the last I was completely engaged. I couldn’t stop. I am a slow reader with ADHD but this book held me engrossed. The characters, the wit, the world. If you love fantasy, dragons, romance, twists and turns and mystery, then this book is for you!!! Incredible author. Amazing book. Onto book two!!

If I wanted to read/hear about a guy and a girl fall in love on again off again so many times and bicker in between I’ll just listen to my kids on their phones.

One of the best if not the best fantasy books I’ve ever read. I highly recommend reading this book if you love stories about enemies to lovers, underdog turned badass, and elite war colleges for dragon riders.

I love how it’s simple yet so magical. The cliffhanger at the end is so frustrating which makes me want to read the second book. This is a good read if you want to cozy up during rainy days.

The best book I have read in three years, and now in my top 3 favorite books! I absolutely love the world Rebecca created, one of the best fantasy universes I have ever known! I loved everything about this and can’t wait for the second one! I felt attached to all characters immediately and was so involved in the story it was simply a delight! I highly recommend this book if you love fantasy, YA and romance!
